The essentials to know before booking. Contact us if your shoot requires equipment, costumes or production support.
How much is the studio?＋
Direct bookings are ¥2,000 per hour. Costume rental and production services are quoted separately.
Can I rent a costume without booking the studio?＋
Yes. Choose Costume rental only in the secure booking form, select your date and costume, and pay without adding studio time.
Can I rent more than one dress, kimono or suit in one booking?＋
Yes. You can select multiple costumes across the dress, kimono and suit categories. The form shows an itemized total and combines them into one Square payment.
Can I change my costume selection after booking?＋
Please contact us as early as possible. Changes depend on availability and any price difference between the selected items.
Are dressing and hair and makeup included?＋
They are not automatically included with costume rental. Please contact us before booking if you need dressing, hair and makeup or a photography team.
Where is the studio?＋
2F, 49-4 Kisshoin Takahatacho, Minami Ward, Kyoto 601-8332. It is around 19 minutes on foot from JR Nishi-Oji Station, or 5–7 minutes from Kisshoin Takahatacho bus stop on Kyoto City Bus route 42.
When does natural light enter the studio?＋
Soft daylight enters from morning through the afternoon. The exact direction and strength vary by weather and season.
Can I shoot commercial work or video?＋
Yes. The studio can be used for products, e-commerce, fashion, interviews, YouTube and social media content.
Is there a changing area?＋
You can change in the private toilet. A full-length mirror and clothing rack are available inside the studio.
Are the backdrops and lights included?＋
Yes. The white, grey, black and red motorized paper backdrops and basic studio lights are included at no extra charge.
Can I use flash, record audio or shoot video?＋
Yes. Flash photography, interview audio and video for YouTube or social media are allowed. Please avoid sound levels that could disturb neighbours.
What is included in the booking time?＋
The reserved time includes entry, loading, shooting, restoring moved furniture or equipment and exit. The studio handles normal cleaning and basic preparation; please take all rubbish with you.
Is parking available?＋
There is no private parking. Please use a nearby coin parking lot.
Can I rent costumes or equipment?＋
Basic studio lighting is available. Kimono, wedding dresses, suits and additional production support can be arranged separately.
What is the cancellation policy?＋
Free until four days before the booking, 50% from three days before through the previous day, and 100% on the day.
